HOW to be LESS STRESS during EXAMS?
These are some things you can do before, during, and after your exam to help you be less stress and reduce the anxiety...
1. Find a suitable good study method that will help you not only to absorb in information, but also be able to summarise each chapter and prepare for questions that will be covered in the exam. Narrow down and focus on what is going to be tested so you can be more focus on what is to come. Feeling more at ease and comfortable with a suitable study method will help you to approach a exam or test with more confidence rather than have too much anxiety.
2. Maintain a good positive attitude as you study. You have to think about doing well, not failing. If you think more positively, your brain and body will also start to be more focus and less nervous.
3. Go for your exam with enough rest before your paper and also make sure you are well fed too so that you have enough energy during the paper. Stay away from junk food before your exam paper and have a light and healthy meal.
4. Take slow, deep breaths to help you to remain relaxed. Do not panic but if you do find yourself doing so, tell yourself, "Calm down, breathe." Focus on positive self-statements such as “I can do this.”
5. Do you remain stuck at one particular question when you still have alot of questions behind yet to be done. Staying stuck will not only increase your panic and anxiety, you will also start to feel more negative about the exams.
6. Don’t worry about other students finishing the test before you do. Take the time that you need to do your best.
7. Forget about your exam or test after you have finish and handed in your papers. There is nothing you can do after you finish your paper until you get your results back. Focus your energy on other upcoming exam papers and on preparation for that.
