Vitamin Z, Youth Power!Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 - 1000hrs
This year, Metoyou is organizing an online photo/video competition for youths with a social cause to it!
The competition, entitled "Vitamin Z, Youth Power!", seeks to provide a platform for youths to showcase what they want to contribute to their community!
Simply take a photo or film a video of what you want to do for your community and submit to us at firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of February 2014!
Your photo/video submission will be uploaded onto our Metoyou facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/metoyouCC) - there is a "Submit & Vote" tab on the top. Invite your friends to like our facebook page and they are ready to vote for your submission! =)
If your submission has the most Likes to it, you stand to win attractive prizes! Also, if your submission fits our judging criteria of clarity (of theme), creativity and coherence, you'll stand to win more prizes!
So what are you waiting for? Snap a picture or film a video and take part in the competition now! Individual or team categories are available!
What's more, for the first 50 submissions that we get, a corresponding 50 needy families served by Marine Parade Family Service Centre will receive a $50 worth of food hamper!

NEW YORK — At Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, in the United States, admissions officers are still talking about the high school senior who attended a campus information session last year for prospective students. Throughout the presentation, she apparently posted disparaging comments on Twitter about her fellow attendees, repeatedly using a common expletive. Perhaps she had not realised that colleges keep track of their social media mentions.

Singapore - Top charts for cyberbullying among youthsWednesday, December 11th, 2013 - 1755hrs
Online bullying among youths is the most rampant in China, according to worldwide research conducted by Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing unit during Q4 last year.
The research, which surveyed some 12,500 youths aged 8 to 17 years in 25 countries globally (500 per country), saw 70% of respondents in China reporting they had been subject to varying degrees of cyberbullying, almost doubling the global average of 37%.
Definitions of cyberbullying ranged from mean or unfriendly treatment, being made fun of or teased and being called mean names. 7 Asia Pacific countries were covered in the survey – Australia, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan and Singapore.
